Minnesota Timberwolves laid off roughly 40 staffers today, according to SBJ sources. The move followed a 7-week assessment period.


Out with the old, in with the new. That's a big makeover, though. It'll be interesting to see how they rebrand the team.
 

I have no idea if this is true for the TWolves, but I expect mass reductions in headcount in accounting, legal support, marketing, and operational roles in most large corporations.

I completely get it, and obviously I'm biased because I think the Wolves have the BEST staff...but also, Wolves were one step away from the Finals. 2 WCF in a row. They only need tweaks, not any overhaul, IMHO.
 


Any reduction to HR is usually a positive. These people clearly had no real impact on organizational success. Go Wolves!
