Groves and Wagner are very similar players. Wagner is an inch or so taller and isn't a ball handler, played inside some at Totino anyway as a jr. Groves is a 2 in college, Wagner a 3, probably.
Both are limited with lateral quickness on the defensive end. Not saying their offense and shooting couldn't make it a decent trade off, but that's why they aren't highly rated. When you see players with Gaudy stats in 3A and 4A, and they don't have high offer lists, it's usually because of two questions: will their games transfer to the next level, and/or can they guard a position?
MN could use a player or two like this, but I wouldn't want a roster full of them. My wife is an Iowa fan, and under McCaffrey they would start 5 unathletic but skilled guys, they would put up 85, but they'd give up 90!
