Short Ornery Norwegian...

Builtbadgers is another guy who was a prolific poster, but hasn't been here for more than a year and a half now. He said he was in his 70s, so maybe time got him, like it did a Dick Bennett offense.

All the best to SON and some of the others that have not been seen around here for a bit but can we please stop bringing up a certain multi-banned poster who used to pollute these boards. I think we well past the Beetlejuice portion of summoning but if we keep it up we know he is going to be back and nobody wants that.... :)

SD coyotes
Yep. Went from Double Secret Probation to loudly clicking clock after that one for Coach B.

Since the Billds always stay to the bitter end, I recall the 'Yotes lining up the full team, coaches, everyone at the West End Zone to take their yearbook picture showing the scoreboard. "Happy campers were they" as Yoda would say...

Commented to Mrs. Billd that although not a Minnesota native I knew the money people would not take well losing to a Dakota school. Sure enough came to pass.

That game was the breaking point for all of us except Dodge … and he still stays til the end of each home game.

I believe Loon and Walrus (AKA Wren) are two separate guys.
Yes, Loon had great observations about games - a very knowledgeable guy. Wren, AKA, Walrus is well known for "Only Big10 wins count". I believe Loon got sick and tired of arguing with some of the morons on this board and left. I have enjoyed reading both of them.

We're probably moving into an era where real computer literate people are starting to regularly die of old age.
Well, since our football spirit animal is the 13-lined ground squirrel native to the short-grass prairie biome, I'm guessing Minnesota Golden Gophers Elysian Fields resemble this...

Sorry in this picture we're sharing it with NDSU...

When you see thousands of Usernames over time, it's kinda crazy how easily you don't notice inactivity. Son at least has recent postings. I think of @MennoSota and @Iceland12 who have not posted since mid-to-late 2024. Hope things are well.

Does anyone remember Briggs? He was a regular about 20 years ago -- he loved linebackers. The more linebackers on the field at the same time, the better. I guess he was old school!

I haven't heard Husker70 mentioned. I think he changed his name, but when not farming, he was another regular.
