One never gets fired in peace. It always hurts and it brings second guessing. Time eventually helps heal. Ben is going to be fine.
 

Give Ben a thank you for giving us the worst 4 years in Gopher basketball history? No thank you.

I have no doubt that Ben tried his best and he ran a clean program. He deserves credit for that.

But every time he had an opportunity to discuss how HE was going to improve program that HE is responsible for, he did nothing but make excuses and blame everyone else for their problems. He constantly took zero ownership.

That's not what leaders do. So you can save all of that nice guy, classy guy talk. I've never found people with his mentality to be either.

Goodbye and good riddance, and enjoy the $11 million and 4 years you've stolen from many of us longtime Gopher fans.

I didnt mind taking a shot on a younger coach. It didnt work out. It's too bad enough wins didn't happen because he did bring in some decent players. Christie, Garcia, Mitchell Jr. Payne, Mitchell. Just needed more of them. Good luck to coach Johnson.

This should have happened after his second incompetent season, and you want to “thank him”? He got paid. Now get the F out.

Think of the four years of wasted fan time he caused us.

If he had admitted he was out of his depth and quit I would have thanked him.

I’m just glad he’s gone. Now find a coach who doesn’t need training wheels.
