I miss that guy!
Miss that guy. Always appreciated his interviews sense of humor.
Go Gophers!!
Other than that how did you like the play Mrs Lincoln. We hired Monson instead of Few and we hired the failed asst coach of the fired coach.
I saw that yesterday and laughed out loud. Like a belly laugh.
He's continued to grow and develop, and he'll be in line to give the high-major scene a whirl again if he so chooses. Otherwise, a dude can do worse than live in Albuquerque and coach in the Pit.I always liked Richard, he was a good face for our program and I wish we could've experienced what he's doing at New Mexico. We just got him too early. Wishing him continued success.
Time for a second round at the U? Very classy coach.
Agreed but I still think he might struggle at B1G level. There are enough duds in the Mountain West that he doesn’t have to bring the A game every night. That’s a big difference from the big boys.I always liked Richard, he was a good face for our program and I wish we could've experienced what he's doing at New Mexico. We just got him too early. Man, the relative instability of being the child of a coach has got to be so hard, moving all the time, leaving your home and friends and having to create new ones. I get that it’s often times a lucrative way to make a living, but I personally don’t have enough professional ambition to put my family through that over and over again.
Would be like being in the military. I met a former Iowa player through church circles several years ago who started out coaching after a brief pro career. He loved coaching but left the profession relatively quickly due to marriage and family priorities. And that was when the work wasn’t quite as all encompassing as it is now.
