They were bleeding money before the move to the Big 10 bailed them out. It's an uphill battle for their athletic department.

UCLA has some of the same dynamics Minnesota does. Urban school, pro sports city, lots of other entertainment. Split allegiances with USC and the schools all the transplants support. They haven't been a big winner for a while.

Did y’all know that the Gophers haven’t been to the Rose Bowl since 1962?! In case you’ve missed it the first 23 times the broadcast team has said it, it’s been since 1962 that the Gophers have played at the Rose Bowl

I don't know where they'd put it if it's near campus. Pretty landlocked with high real estate prices in that area

Much better in the second half but the offense still isn't that productive. UCLA penalties have helped them. Defense has played great for the last two quarters.
