I still don’t have a clear understanding of Quad wins and losses. Is it all based on final position? If you beat a “top tier (Q1)” team early in the season and they fall off and end up being a Q3 team in the end, was you win a Q1 or a Q3?
If you lose to a Q4 team early but they exceed expectations over the season and end up a Q2 team, is it an OK (Q2) loss instead of a Q4?

Pretty sure it’s about the end of the season rankings in the NET. Selection and others can give definitive answers.

It's fluid and constantly changing. That's why you cheer for teams you beat to do well.

Always want to avoid bad losses, obviously, but they do happen quite often, even to good teams.

Case in point, Northwestern lost to Chicago State. That one loss is pretty much the albatross dragging down the 'Cats' NET ranking (#55). Resume-wise, they're a tournament team in pretty much every other way.

What's the name of that 3rd tier tourney after the NIT? I'm thinking we might find a slot there
Power 5 teams almost never play in those anymore. Though Ben could do his non-conference scheduling there.

Top B1G game of the week so far? Northwestern’s OT loss at Purdue. Looking towards Saturday, N’W played a helluva game at Purdue to nearly beat them for the 2nd time this year and lost in overtime. They are a disciplined, veteran team with good guards and solid post play. It will be a tough game for our boys in maroon and gold and they can not spot Northwestern a big halftime lead.

Go Gophers!

Green Bay won earlier today. Beat IUPUI 79-56
10 out of the last 12 for the Phoenix
Why the 11:00 start? Dang that is early. Oddly enough when they played IUPUI on the road that was also the start time on Jan 10th which is a Wednesday.

Just read it was some kind of local school day, so the 11 a.m. start was a field trip time for local elementary schools. Kinda cool.

OT in Lincoln, why wasn't Wilcher on the floor for that last possession?
