Probably the way it should be. Then donors give to just the school, the school decides where money is best spent, unless the donation has stipulations, and there should be more realistic agreements. I think the collectives will still be there for the big money donors that may have other reasons...
I’d rather see a 16 team playoff than 12 or 24. 16 would not add another week vs 12 like 24 teams would. And with 24, the top 8 would get a bye instead of no byes with 16 teams. I think a bye is a huge advantage, especially since the best teams get the extra week to prepare, heal and rest.
Pretty weak argument, if that’s what he said. He may have indeed had better admin contact at Tulane, but Washington a much larger institution with 49,000 students to Tulane’s 14,000 (UW also has 22 athletic teams to Tulane’s 14). So the contact he gets from admins is going to be less.
I didn’t think an NIL would pay a player before he was enrolled and on campus. I guess it must the money throwing is so competitive that NILs will take the risk.
