Having 12 teams certainly makes sure the real top 4 teams are in (sans rankings), which is what really matters. Teams ranked below 8th (probably 6th) should just be happy to be in the conversation.

If Taylor was a guaranteed every game player next year, I’d be okay with Ijeboi leaving. But Taylor is not a guarantee and Ijeboi will keep getting better.

I think the perception that the SEC has more marketable matchups has a lot to do with the preseason rankings, which gives fuel to the ESPN hype machine.
