Fun watching those two run. I had forgotten how fast and violent they were when they ran. So thanks for that!
But then you brought back a lot of trauma. Watched Maroney running it three times trying to get a first down. Total of nine years. We had to punt.
Fumbled snap. Blocked punt. TD...
My hatred of the Badgers was established in 1962 when Bobby Bell got that roughing call that screwed us out of a Big 10 championship. 64 years later that hatred of those bastards has not lessened one damn bit. God, I hate losing to those pricks!!!!!!!!!!
Almost a complete roster turnover but these players are already becoming a beloved bunch of Gophers. Never will be Bobby Jackson/Jordan Murphy level for me but so easy to like. I feel just as bad for them as I do for myself when we lose like that.
“Protecting competition integrity is of the utmost importance for the NCAA,” NCAA President Charlie Baker said in a statement on Thursday.
Thank God for that. Now I feel better.
Interesting that if he had left last year I would have been "devastated" as a Gopher fan. This year? Whatever. Will always remember that interception against the Trojans, but I'm also remembering him taking the totally wrong angle or just sort of being there but not making a play.
I think he is one of the sharpest guys on the team but two of the most bone-headed plays I've ever seen a QB make this season. And he was looking so good.
Not sure how you could watch Indiana stomp Alabama or watch Ole Miss win a thriller over Georgia and not think, "Damn, that would be so much fun to be on a team like that." Even, more exciting than taking on New Mexico on a ball field in whatever the hell the name of that bowl game was.
Wow! For all of the bitching we do about our coordinators, the elites also can come up with some head-shaking plays and strategy. 4th down in their territory and you run that play?
