    What is Niko building?

I don't like players moving teams, just like most others. But for the most part the blue bloods that were at the top of the rankings are still there. There still are non-blue bloods like Purdue and Houston, mostly with inhouse players, there every year as well. Us gopher fans are probably...

    What is Niko building?

Well, we have no billionaire giving us money ala Oregon and Indiana, so we are screwed based on your logic. I think one can still compete with average money. CSU is not the big ten, but he built a successful program with much less money than we have.

    What is Niko building?

I had previously wrote that Niko hasn't had a big improvement in year one at any of his stops. I don't think he is a flashy recruiter, I think he is successful based on year over year improvements and eventual conference and tourney successes, and turning some "average wings" into NBA players...

Bobby Durkin is the new Brock Stull

I've been disappointed in Willis' scoring. He averaged 17.5 in the MAC as a 2nd team selection. While never a great 3pt shooter, he was a very good driver. His playmaking is good, we just need his scoring in addition.

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT MISSOURI IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Freitag was more athletic than any guard MN had on its roster last year, including Asuma. Nolan would have been a better offensive bench player than Fox ever was. Robinson may have been over-rated. By years end, Asuma was the 2nd best guard last year after Patterson. Asuma and Freitag can...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT MISSOURI IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Wisconsin has been in another universe better than the gophers. Nolan Winter played 9 min per game as a freshman there. Freitag is exactly an example, he could have got major minutes for the gophers but sat on there bench, for one year. Jack Robinson could be another, as he still isn't...

***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT MISSOURI IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

The gophers are going to have to have continued success under Niko, with some tourney invites and success before we will get that deep. We don't have the money to over-pay anyone. We likely are middle of the road there. We have 3 total guards who are players, and two of those are adjusting...

    Thoughts about last nights game

I wasn't able to see the game, but I followed the box score. We were settling for bad 3's like previous teams? Missouri took 22, but made half-11. We took 23 and made 5, 22%. I agree on JCJ not taking a 2nd three unless he makes the first. Tyson and Durkin 1 for 9 is killer. Were we...

Big Ten X-Factors: One Player Who Could Swing Every Team’s Season (MN: Isaac Asuma, Sophomore, Guard)

Reynolds and Willis were scorers, not shooters, before coming here. Willis at 28%, while Renolds shot 41% on a limited 1 per game last year, his two previous years were 18% and 21%. Asuma is a shooter when his feet are set. With our best shooters being the two forwards Tyson and Durkin...

Big Ten X-Factors: One Player Who Could Swing Every Team’s Season (MN: Isaac Asuma, Sophomore, Guard)

Isaac Asuma had a crazy good freshmen and sophmore year in high school. By his JR and SR year he shifted some of his scoring numbers to setting up his teammates as his assist went from 5.8 to 8.2. His scoring dropped from 25 and 27ppg, to 20 and then just 18 his SR year. He became too...

Did Grove get hurt last night?

I am not sure about the injury. I hope Grove starts taking the open shot. He was a good shooter in high school. He could be useful if teams ever played zone against us at the top of the key.

Our defense has potential next year - Perich, Brown, Kingsbury, Karmo, etc.

Obviously, the biggest unlikely returner is A. Smith. 8.5 Sacks in 9 games as a junior. I imagine he will be a 2nd or 3rd round pick if he runs well.

Our defense has potential next year - Perich, Brown, Kingsbury, Karmo, etc.

Some other names who should/could return. LB Baranowski has another year. DE Howard is just a sophmore. DE Nate Becker has come on lately, he is listed as a SR, but he only played in 3 games his fr year. FR LB Carrier was highly rated.

The 2025-26 Gophers basketball season will be a success if?...

    CSU team stats: 24-25: 75ppg 48% FG, almost 9 3's per game at 36%, 77% free throws, 17 assists per game, 5 stls, less than 3 blocks. Gave up 67 ppg. 23-24: 75 ppg 48% FG, 7 3's 34%, 75 FT, 18 assists, 6 stls, 3 blks. 22-23: 73 ppg 49% FG , 8 3's 36%, 75% FT, 17 ass, 6 stls, 2.5 blks...

In hindsight, this outcome is not that surprising. This is Mark Gronowski's sixth year as a starting college QB.

Iowa's recruiting is pretty similar to PJ's, the 1-3 four star's they get are usually from Iowa or a neighboring state. They have had the most consistency on Defense in college football with a great coordinator. Their front four usually has a couple pro's, who can get to the qb -without...
