Did Grove get hurt last night?

I am not sure about the injury. I hope Grove starts taking the open shot. He was a good shooter in high school. He could be useful if teams ever played zone against us at the top of the key.

Our defense has potential next year - Perich, Brown, Kingsbury, Karmo, etc.

Obviously, the biggest unlikely returner is A. Smith. 8.5 Sacks in 9 games as a junior. I imagine he will be a 2nd or 3rd round pick if he runs well.

Our defense has potential next year - Perich, Brown, Kingsbury, Karmo, etc.

Some other names who should/could return. LB Baranowski has another year. DE Howard is just a sophmore. DE Nate Becker has come on lately, he is listed as a SR, but he only played in 3 games his fr year. FR LB Carrier was highly rated.

The 2025-26 Gophers basketball season will be a success if?...

    CSU team stats: 24-25: 75ppg 48% FG, almost 9 3's per game at 36%, 77% free throws, 17 assists per game, 5 stls, less than 3 blocks. Gave up 67 ppg. 23-24: 75 ppg 48% FG, 7 3's 34%, 75 FT, 18 assists, 6 stls, 3 blks. 22-23: 73 ppg 49% FG , 8 3's 36%, 75% FT, 17 ass, 6 stls, 2.5 blks...

In hindsight, this outcome is not that surprising. This is Mark Gronowski's sixth year as a starting college QB.

Iowa's recruiting is pretty similar to PJ's, the 1-3 four star's they get are usually from Iowa or a neighboring state. They have had the most consistency on Defense in college football with a great coordinator. Their front four usually has a couple pro's, who can get to the qb -without...

Thoughts on Cade Tyson from those that saw exhibition games

The better big ten teams definitely will over play Tyson on his 3 pt shot, and force him inside the line. He seems to have enough skill and athleticism to make those moves. While 28 and 26 ppg aren't realistic for the big ten, I think 15ppg is probable. Willis and Reynolds have the ability...

    Brosmer is playing tonight…

Maybe KOC likes Max and didn't want to see him get punished behind our offensive line? Conversely, maybe he doesn't care if Wentz goes off on a stretcher? Otherwise, I am dumfounded why Max didn't get a chance.

    Brosmer is playing tonight…

Before we give up on McCarthy, who didn't get a rookie year to make mistakes, let's look at other 1st rd QB's in their first few games. Also, I do not know if they were playing behind a garbage offensive line like McCarthy has? I know Denver's was decent, great now. Bears was bad...

    North Dakota exhibition

North Dakota lost 4 starters from last year, including bigtime scorer Eaglestaff, who moved on to West Virginia. This team isn't going to finish high in the Summit. If we don't crush this team it's a worry. On a fun note, there are lots of Mn high schoolers on N. Dakota. SR Eli King from...

    Keys against Iowa

Keys to beat Iowa: You cannot beat yourself. Stick with the run, even if we are getting 1 or 2 yards per carry. Try some screens and quick slants. You have to slow down there pass rush, make them "look" for other things. Make them send extra players to get a pass rush. Iowa loads the box and...

    Observations From NDSU Scrimmage

I should have added one more sentence on Reynolds. I think he will adjust within a few games. He will be a nice scorer off the bench. Probably our best athlete.

    Observations From NDSU Scrimmage

I may have been a little pessimistic about Omot. We really need his length at the forward spot.

    Observations From NDSU Scrimmage

Having watched the game and looked at the box scores, here are some other thoughts. We only forced 9 turnovers, I would expect a bit more this early in the season. Only 3 blocks against an undersized team. Thank God for Reynolds and his 3 steals out of our 5 total. Steals and blocks and...

Does Niko ever play zone? Easiest spot to hide a bad defender.

***OFFICIAL NORTH DAKOTA STATE AT MINNESOTA EXIHIBITION IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Durkin could be a poor man’s Battle. Very good shooter who is below average on the boards and defensively. Might best be a scorer off the bench? Omot looks like he should be a good defender, maybe they come in together and Durkin guards the worse offensive player? Tyson is a better athlete...

A few things to expect from Gophers men’s basketball under Niko Medved

Similar to what Danny Hurley did at Uconn. Uconn definitely had some talent, but what seperated them from the other talented teams, were how exact their screen game was. Which includes the physicality of the screener, but also how the dribbler pressed to the basket forcing help and leaving...

    OL comments by Ryan Burns

It seems like Fleck wants the biggest offensive lineman in the world since he's been here. If your huge and not small and athletic, your not going to be pulling much. Generally speaking size helps against a pass rush and for straight ahead blocking. Whichever the reason, it's incredible how...

What is Drake Lindsey's ceiling? 1st RD pick?

Lindsey's biggest knock eventually will be his lack of athleticism. A QB who can run is the new norm in the NFL. Ones that can't are the anomaly. Drake should watch tapes of Big Ben, similar bodies and games, but Ben had great footwork in the pocket to avoid the rush.

All Things Class of 2026 Minnesota Gophers Basketball Recruiting Thread

His video reminds me of Pharyl Payne. It's nice when a physical big likes the paint and isn't staying out on the 3 pt line. A body badly needed on a bit undersized team.
