Former Minnesota standouts Tanner Morgan and Emma Carpenter will partner with play-by-play announcer Jason Ross Jr on Saturday's Gopher game.

Emma not only played golf at the U, she sing the national anthem at many gopher basketball, volleyball, and hockey games during her years at the U. She is incredibly talented and even a better person! Fortunate to know her.

Shooter: Gophers' NIL budget this season —lowest in the Big Ten — was in the $700,000 range, of which Dawson Garcia got $500,000.

He put the wrong person in charge of it from the start. A former NCAA staffer and compliance director was the guy he put in charge, no chance of thinking outside the box.

Played the whole, horrific night shooting until he hit a big 3 in OT. Played great defense against bigger guards.

Done Deal! - MINNESOTA HIRES NIKO MEDVED!!

Have a good friend who was a long time B1G employee, lasted less than a year after Warren took over. Said he was a horrible leader and not a good person. FWIW

Marcus Q&A with Coyle: "I’ve started to have conversations with people today...I’ve had conversations with people about who is interested and not"

Coyle cannot say that he’s been searching and talking to candidates until he has a position open. I’m sure he has been working the back channels unofficially for a few weeks. He did it with Fleck and hired him quickly after their bowl game.

    New Coach Short List

Has to be an old list. Jim Phillips is now commissioner of ACC conference and hasn’t been at NU for a few years.

At 1:19am, 3.13.25. - The Ben Johnson Era has ended and Ben is fired

I’m sure Coyle felt he couldn’t roll out Ben next year hoping for better results with more NIL and resources and if he did and it failed, both would be gone after next year(others have mentioned it on the board). It’s an experiment that failed, Ben worked hard, tried hard, but the landscape has...

ESPN's Jeff Borzello: "As of time of publish, it seems Ben Johnson is likely to get another year at Minnesota."

TT and A&M have a lot more money than you think, plus alums like to support those schools. Pat Mahomes basically setup TT’s NIL fund and got them a big adidas contract.

Five Guys On A Shortlist: If the U Decides Change Is Needed, Aim High & Don't Be Cheap With That Big Ten Cash

Marquette has one of the largest basketball budgets in the country, at one time only 2nd to Duke, not sure where they rank now.

Seth Davis: Ben Johnson has done an incredible job with this team. One of the elite coaches in one of the toughest jobs in America.

Good info, I didn’t look up their roster. It’s interesting that he got the Illinois job after one decent year(of 4) at Ohio. They made the sweet 16, but not much else as a head coach screamed Power 5 potential.
