I watched Rutgers a few times last year and both Harper and Bailey gave very little effort on defense. It’s hard to win when your two best players are consistently taking a break on the defensive side.
Nope, my interest has waned significantly over the past couple of years. I used to watch college basketball almost every single day, and this past year I probably watched a total of 25 regular season games outside of the Gophers. For me it started when Ryan Nembhard and Arthur Kaluma left what...
I’m not as high on Holloman as others. Don’t get me wrong, he was a good bench player for an elite eight team, but he’s been very inconsistent throughout his career. He’s also a streaky shooter. I’m guessing he’s looking for a guaranteed starting PG spot and a significant pay bump.

I’m on-board with this hire and ready to see what he can do. He clearly has an eye for under-the-radar talent and has a proven track record of players improving under his guidance. Now can he consistently recruit at a power conference level? And will the administration finally care about...
Rumor has it they’re going to put the full court press on adding Gonzaga for basketball. Could be a sneaky good basketball conference if they are able to pull that off.
Put the Barn renovation talk on the backburner until everything is completely figured out with the athlete budget. Most players now are taking money over winning a championship, so a renovated arena will be a drop in the bucket in their overall decision.
What a mess college basketball has become.
I’d really like to see them revise the NET a bit. Brad Brownell was very vocal last year about the Big 12 gaming the NET in the non-conference, which leads to more Quad 1 conference opportunities. I wish there was a metric within the NET that would punish a team for doing this. It’s happening a...
This is completely out of control. I watched Utah State around 6-7 times last year, and not once did this guy look elite to me. He’s a really solid, yet unspectacular, undersized center, with above average footwork. I wouldn't even think twice about taking Payne over him.
Every single college...
If you don’t think Fox was a major asset to the team down the stretch this year, then you either didn’t watch any Gopher games or you know nothing about college basketball.
