It’s always exciting to see these kids visit/commit early on and then track their rating/stats as the year goes on. Around this time last year Aytch wasn’t even rated and debuted shortly after as an 86. Lots of good talent with good offers coming in to visit.
I have no strong opinions on Kill but I feel like this is clearly a mistake. It can’t get much worse for them to a degree. I just feel like there’s a reason he’s been in mostly other than HC positions in recent history. He’s had success sure but I think the landscape is so different now and as...
You’re always showing up like a wet fart man
He goes from the #3 to #15 ranked CA HS program per maxpreps. MD loses 2x 5*, 4X 4*, and 5x 3* players, among others. MH loses 1x 3 start player. Also came off a serious injury this year. I think a little context helps here.
I’m skeptical about this...
I remember seeing so much talk about when Fleck would get his first 5 star. A lot of people thought we’d have to wait on another Joe Mauer type kid.
Well fleck went into another state, the one of the CFB champs, and got a kid who blew up and still stuck with MN. No major ties, no insane NIL...
This with the Marshall transfer and the young DT talent we have is really exciting. Plus all the DEs we retained will make this a truly strong area of the team. It’ll be up to coaching to make the most of it but I’m becoming the most excited I have since 2019.
Gassed up to think we could have 10+ combinations of legit pass rushing threats on the DL at any given point in time. LB/DB looks solidified. On the O I like the OT we got but 1 more would be nice. Otherwise I think we’re set every at every other position.
Except for TE/iDL. Yet these are the...
It’s fairly common from what I’ve seen, it just may be called something different or lumped into another title. I don’t think it’s an official title but I’ve also seen coaches referred to as Joker, Bandit, Sniper, etc coach, and that’s objectively more dumb than rush end.
From what I can tell we hired him away from Stanford. Isn’t that kind of crazy for him to take, on paper, a step down? Stanford is a historic ACC school, the guy also seemed to be moderately successful. Did they decide to go a different route and it was mutual?
The names/recognition attached...
With Driver/Lyons out that leaves Smith, Tracy, Coleman, Nuke, and Martino as guys that can return. I thought we had way more WR on the roster. This is a pretty good core in my eyes though. Maybe one of the t-fr can show something and they grab another WR in the portal.
