    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Haha I was thinking about him…but at least he missed 2 seasons due to injury. On that note I think we will see a lot more guys medically redshirt as well like Tyler Cochran or BJ Omot (not sure when he could have come back but saw some speculation he shut it down to preserve a year of...

    2025-26 Gopher Mens Basketball Roster

I’m a Morris alum. I had a fantastic experience in their chemistry department. And yes, we certainly had to make our own fun, there was little to nothing going on in that town. Now that I have spent most of the last 15 years out West, I kinda wish I had gone to college in the middle of nowhere...

    2025-26 Gopher Mens Basketball Roster

Sounds like he can spend a year learning from Langston Reynolds then take over his sophomore year.

    2025 Transfer Portal Watch

Sounds like he would be a nice pickup from the scratch and dent section. He went from an 86% to a 56% free throw shooter, which tells me there was maybe some kind of mental block going on unless the ACC has way better free throw defense than MVC basketball. At 6’7” 200 lbs he made 3.1 3PT per...

    Niko’s roster construction

    Three pointers made: Asuma: 25, 36% Willis: 33, 28% Reynolds: 18, 41% Durkin: 91, 36% Crocker-Johnson: 34, 35% Omot: 53 (28%) at UND and 6 (35%) at Cal Vaiola: 0% Last year at Colorado State Niko had three guys making 65 or more 3's: Evans: 70, 45% Lake: 69, 35% Clifford: 66, 38% JCJ: 34, 35%...

All Things 2024-25 College Basketball Coach Fired/Hired/Retired Thread

Kinda sad, the press release spends 8 paragraphs expounding on his accomplishments at Richmond (in two separate stints) as well as at Princeton and his USAF college ball career. All it says about the Gophers is that he "most recently worked as an assistant coach with Minnesota out of the Big Ten...

New defensive coordinator Danny Collins wants ‘HAVOC’

All the coach speak is starting to grate on me. Mark Coil needs to step in soon, otherwise the fans will be venting their frustrations.

New defensive coordinator Danny Collins wants ‘HAVOC’

My brain read this as HVAC. Anybody else?

    Evans commits to North Carolina

What if I told you guys there was a way to make a thread look like this. I don't know what this guy is spewing, have no idea why I ignored him in the first place, but it feels great:

SJSU center Robert Vaihola commits to Gophers!!

Here are a couple of assists from the USC game which I picked since he had 5 assists in this one against a high major. One is a kickout off a drive for a 3, the other is him rocketing a skip pass from the opposite baseline for a corner 3. He's got good vision. Looking forward to him kicking it...

SJSU center Robert Vaihola commits to Gophers!!

I'm intrigued by the passing. He averaged 2.9 assists per 40 minutes. He doesn't shoot 3's at all but if he can keep the ball moving that is important in Niko's offense. For reference, the per 40 minute assist rates for our squad: Odukale: 4.9 Patterson: 3.9 Mitchell 3.5 Asuma: 3.4 Garcia: 2.3...

    Evans commits to North Carolina

Frankly, I’m surprised that UNC appeared to make him a priority. He would’ve been a solid get for us, but I would have thought he would be plan C for them with their Blue Blood status and available cash. I will be interested to see what kind of role he has on their team next year.

    Bucky house!

I'm visiting in 2 weeks and Ted Drewes is on the menu along with Pappy's, Bogarts, and my favorite hole in the wall Bosnian place that does Doner Kebabs.

    Bucky house!

I ran into his mom at a Schnucks when I lived there (2011-2015) because I had a Gopher hat on, she was super nice and we chatted for a while. Webster Groves is also one of the best places to live in the metro IMO.
