I too have been much more “checked-out” this season than in many, many seasons. These types of seasons are inevitable, and I don’t feel bad for me or for my fellow Gopher fans.
I do feel bad however for our starting shortstop, who I think is one of NCAA softball’s rare talents.
The key problem in this day’s horrible box score is that our pitchers were able to get only one strikeout.
It is really tough to be good when your team is playing defense over the course of a whole season if you don’t have a pitcher on staff who can get strikeouts. That is our #1 problem this...

I think that is true; it is true for me. But it shouldn’t be.
We do have one of the best players in the nation playing shortstop on this team. Fans should take advantage of that while we have it because, in the “portal” world, who knows for how long?
