Big Ten X-Factors: One Player Who Could Swing Every Team’s Season (MN: Isaac Asuma, Sophomore, Guard)

I was at the game, yet I’m still a bit puzzled about what position best suits Reynolds. He did not come off as being confident with his outside shot, but he was aggressive as heck taking the ball in the lane. Nice to see. Seems really tough. I hope some of that rubs off on Asuma. I left a...

***OFFICIAL GARDNER WEBB AT MINNESOTA - THE OFFICIAL START OF THE NIKO MEDVED ERA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

Not knowing what to expect, I was really impressed by Kai. I hope we continue to see him get minutes, as I think he could contribute this year.

Are U not Entertained? I’m old enough to remember Years with no bowl eligibility! So, it ain’t Prime Rib, but it also ain’t Swiss Steak

I too remember the really awful years, so I’m glad for every win. Here’s my greatest puzzlement: How can we have this awful of an offensive line? I can understand that we lose recruiting battles for the flashy skilled guys, but it seems to me that there’s no excuse for being this bad up...

***OFFICIAL IOWA AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

It’s painfully obvious: Iowa has better talent, better discipline, and better coaching. We have to recruit better and coach better.

***OFFICIAL IOWA AT MINNESOTA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

What happened to Mitchell? He can’t even find the rim on a three, and has become a turnover machine. 1-14 on threes as a team? That’s about like shooting blindfolded. It’s hard to believe this is happening … again.

    Darius Taylor!

Taylor is such a great example of why you can’t judge running backs on “measurables” alone. I’m guessing he lacked in one or more of those measurables when compared against the 4-star studs rated ahead of him who signed with the helmet schools. Maybe “too small”? Maybe “too slow”? To me...

    Brevyn Spann-Ford

A pet peeve of mine with coaches/fans/scouts/analysts is with the over-emphasis on “measurables” with quarterbacks and wide receivers. What I mean by are the following: Size, speed, strength, quickness, vertical jump, (arm/passing strength for QBs). There are two other things that matter...

Ky Thomas enters the transfer portal again

Not sure what games you watched this year, but Potts was Potts only excelled at stutter-steps (going nowhere) or losing yards running sideways. He had a rough year. Not sure what you were watching this past year.

What is wrong with this team?

Cooper shouldn’t be shooting at all? Did you look at the shooting stats for Garcia and Battle? Cooper had to shoot because those two couldn’t even find the rim.

Athan Kaliakmanis was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

Announcers said it wasn’t the crown of the helmet used as the tackler didn’t lower his head on the hit. However, in my mind it could have done similar damage given the blow was still to AK’s head.

Does Markus Allen mean a Gophers WR is going to the portal??

Well, that’s a bummer to hear. The over-evaluation of “measurables” with wideouts has always bugged me. I don’t care how fast he can run (Troy Williamson), how high he can jump, how much he can bench, even how well he can run routes etc., if he doesn’t flat-out catch the ball like he has glue...
