Hard to be even disappointed. Hope springs eternal for next year.

It's been inexplicable to me. We've had teams that should have beat up on them like they're 3rd graders yet we've found new and frustrating ways to lose. Until the Gophers turn that around for a few years it's hard to think they'll win.

So sorry to be the bringer of bad news but Northwestern for whatever reason has had our number for about the last 20 years. I see no reason why they won't today. Gophers lose this one and we get on with decisions about next season.

Someone would have to explain to me like I'm a 6 year old: Why people think we're some sort of an elite program that a coach would desire to come to. It is really too bad about Johnson. It seems to me that he would be invested in the long term success of the basketball program unlike others...

With every win I think Johnson should be given another year. Talk me off the ledge.

If I'm not mistaken you're one of his most ardent haters. I mean I don't like the guy either and feel he needs to go but you're on a whole different level and you seek out his radio show and then wonder why it's not available for your listening pleasure? Have I missed something here?

As an aside I really thought that Johnson was the guy but it's beyond apparent he is not. Coyle should be fired along with Ben who I do feel bad for personally but honestly the guy is going to make more money in a few years than I've ever a chance to make in my lifetime. Time to start over with...

An interesting question for the class I suppose. Now that players are being paid can we lower the critical boom on them? Usually, you could only criticize players to a certain point; coaches of course no holds barred. Now that some of these guys are making decent, even a lot of money, is it open...

It was a bit better than I thought. But, look, we've got 10 seniors on this roster - 10! - and that will turn over again next year. I get it but this is just not sustainable.

I'm honestly one of the most optimistic people you could ask about Gophers BB. Not this year. We have an awful team and while I like him Ben is not the guy. Let's get the season over with and move on. The sooner the better.
