Confidence is an amazing thing. The more these guys learn the system and the coach and feel that "this is my shot and the coach believes I make these"- the more of them go in. This offense does yield open shots.

I think we can both build and bid. We are going to have to use players that are not bigger than the program and augment them with a few rentals who are exceptional. The key is to maintain a good core roster of kids that know the program and love the coach and culture. We can afford those guys...

You are right about that. I just don't think we are going to have a Payne, Hawkins, or Garcia type available after this year so I would think we will be fine for most of our own guys. I just hope that we can get so that we are needing to fill 4 or less so that we can afford high end guys instead...

I think by next year both Asuma and JCJ at the very least will be guys capable of starting on most Big Ten teams if not all. JCJ was on a pretty good tournament team and one of their top 3 guys. Definitely need a couple more and one of them has to be a big and the other a pretty big...

I don't know who you are asking but for me: With another year under their belts I see these three as solid starters, or maybe 2 of the 3 Asuma Willis JCJ I could see any of the other returners as good rotation players I am hoping one frosh is a starter quality player and a couple rotation...

I agree. It sure looks to me like he built this roster with an idea that he would be ready to compete at a higher level in year 2.

Nothing that Spaulding says matters. He is the board's final draft choice- Mr Irrelevant.

FWIW- Willis was a decent, not great 72% last year from the line- so maybe he gets that straightened out.
