Hard to believe that our FT% is again heading for the bottom with a whole new group of players. After today we are at 65% for the year- that's just incredibly bad for a major college team.

The only thing I have liked in this game is a little more action in the 2nd half posting JCJ up low. They have to have some sort of post up game to survive games in the Big Ten. Ugly game though.

This team is vertically challenged. Other than Reynolds (who should have went for the slam on that last possession) and Tyson, San Francisco plays over the top of us at the rim. SF has the better athletes it seems. Not good.

Confidence is an amazing thing. The more these guys learn the system and the coach and feel that "this is my shot and the coach believes I make these"- the more of them go in. This offense does yield open shots.

They move the ball very well....and miss the shots. They have no power game. None.

I want to see more of Shinholster. Both Durkin and Reynolds have been a bit of a disappointment for me. It's a long season, hopefully they get better.

Actually, I love the WAY they are playing the game. They just are not making shots and the bigger concern is that when they aren't they just don't have anyone that they can chuck it inside to. Tonight for the first time in years here, the coach won the game for them. With about 8 minutes to go...

I think we can both build and bid. We are going to have to use players that are not bigger than the program and augment them with a few rentals who are exceptional. The key is to maintain a good core roster of kids that know the program and love the coach and culture. We can afford those guys...

You are right about that. I just don't think we are going to have a Payne, Hawkins, or Garcia type available after this year so I would think we will be fine for most of our own guys. I just hope that we can get so that we are needing to fill 4 or less so that we can afford high end guys instead...
