The big ten makes it....Ohio State #4.
Wow. TCU drops 3 spots after a 55-3 win.
What did TCU do to deserve to drop 3 spots?
For the New Years 6 Bowl games.

I just look at it like this - TCU lost one game, by 3 points to the #5 team in the country. Baylor lost one game, to an unranked team by 14. OSU lost one game, to an unranked team at home by 14. To me, TCU is the best of those three teams and I don't see why Oregon is such a lock. They played Iowa state while 3 other teams played top 20 opponents.
They didn't win an outright conference championship while 2 of the others did.
You're right, I would assume a Big 12 Championship game puts the winner in over Ohio StateNCAA will hopefully allow the Big 12 to play a conference championship soon so that this won't happen again to TCU/Baylor, but congratulations to OSU.

Prepare to hear the words: "Dad Gummit" and "Y'all ain't no good".Get ready for the Big10 bashing by the Big12 fan base.
I thought that happened already but the Big 12 decided they didn't want the conference championship game. Am I making that up?

Unless they waive the requirement to have 12 teams for a conference championship game, the Big 12 would have to expand by two teams. Are there any realistic candidates?
Yesterday during the TCU game I thought they said that the current rules require a conference to have 12 teams to play a championship.
Someone mentioned BYU in another thread. Boise State makes sense from a football standpoint, but academically, they're below the SEC.Unless they waive the requirement to have 12 teams for a conference championship game, the Big 12 would have to expand by two teams.
