Jarrod Lawson and Thomas Tucker are San Jose State's top two running backs. Neither has played this year as one was suspended for the 1st two games and the other was injured. SJSU has been playing a true freshman at RB and with limited success. Lawson and Tucker will both be making their season debuts on Saturday.

Any idea how their new QB has looked? Do they still have some good weapons at WR?

QB was 16/27 for 218 and 1 TD and 2 picks vs Auburn; also 13 carries for 20 yds
Absolutely lit up UND (who is really not very good) for 250 yds off 22/25 passing with 3 TDs and no picks plus 4 carries for 20 yds and another TD.
Tyler Winston seems to be their top threat at WR and turned in a good freshman year last year and has 15 catches already this year.

So all that being said, it's really hard to tell. They've played a top 10 team in Auburn and looked pretty ugly and destroyed a very weak UND team

Granted it was Auburn but they rushed for 350+ yards and averaged nearly 7.2 ypc against this SJSU defense which would seem tailor made for our offense considering we have to be able to run the ball right now in order to have any shot against teams. This one should not be close as SJSU had a brief good run but was a cupcake before and has returned to cupcake status once again.

Hope you are correct. This team could use some confidence building and to get a little healthier before Michigan

For the record…..Tucker rushed for 86 yards against UND in the season opener for SJSU. Didn't play vs. Auburn with a foot injury.
