Iowa #123 in College Hoops Net's Top 144 Previews

First Big 10 team to appear in their rankings. Overall a pretty solid preview, but I think the writer reaches quite a bit saying the Hawkeyes would have been a NCAA contender without the academic/injury problems. Much better, yes, but not of NCAA caliber.

Maybe my anti-Iowa bias is showing, but isn't #123 generous for that squad? I don't see that squad as having anything going for them.

Iowa might not belong in the top 200, much less the top 144. They are due for another realy tough year although I believe if they give Lickliter enough time, he will make them a respectable team. The only question is will Indiana pass them in Big Ten wins this year or not...

As much as it pains me I can't disagree with you. One nit I will pick is that I think as a coach Lickleiter could make them more than respectable. As a recruiter... well, the jury's still out.
