Hello GH'ers,

I know that there was some chatter about starting this thread for the B4A, but to keep things fair I thought it best to start with the B1G season. In order to stay eligible, you must predict the score through Dr. Don's thread for each and EVERY game this season. If you fail to predict the score for any B1G game, you will automatically be disqualified.

Here are the standings after game 1:

How does the scoring work? I don't remember what I guessed for the last game, but I'm in first place and I didn't win last week, just want to get the rules down so I can make a run at the title

afurry, you also predicted a score of 73-65, as did Parski and me. The rules state that if more than one picks the same winning score, the earliest post is declared the winner. That is why you and Parski missed by 5, but I had posted that prediction before you guys.

I agree with you, hoops, to start everyone out even with the B1G Season.

Thanks for asking afurry91! You want the lowest number to win, much like in golf. Just like in the Predict the Score threads by Dr. Don, you want to have the closest predicted score to the actual game score. I'll simply add the next game's score for each player to the previous tally, and thus you will have the updated scores/standings.

Congrats on being tied for 1st overall after game 1!

Well dangit, Dr. Don. Haha, I'm gonna call that a moral victory for me and put it up on my fridge.

How about instead of being disqualified for missing a game, you just get the highest score from the week added? Or just add something like 30 for each game missed?

Or, your entry is "0-0".

Thanks for the suggestion mcal24, I really like that idea and that is what we will do moving forward (highest score from the previous game). The same method will be used retroactively if we have entries from new folks for the NW game.

Also, if anyone notices a mistake that I made during the scoring, please let me know and I will be sure to correct it ASAP.

Lastly, if anyone else has suggestions for this entry, please let me know and they will be considered.

I think it needs to be more than the worst guess. Someone who misses it doesn't deserve as many points as someone who participated.

How about worst guess * 150%?

OK, make it "worst guess +1", thereby making it the "new worst guess".

This is what we will do. If you look at last game's results, it would be a huge penalty to not have picked. Worst score +1, final verdict, well done Dr. Don!
