It must be nice to be Alabama

The rich get richer. Like the Riley kid getting a grey shirt offer from LSU just before his visit to Minnesota. All his tweets have been about the LSU offer. He's in Minnesota right now.
How do you like our chances? Minnesota or LSU ??

The best thing about Alabama is that you can drive into the state, keep driving, and you drive out of the state. Kind of like Iowa in that respect.

Well, when your Dad is a coach/former Head Coach in the NFL, needing a scholarship to pay for school is probably not high on his mind. Probably figured, "What the heck? If I make the team great, if I don't, I can transfer."

The "I's" usually end up just being their mom's best friend's little favorite child.

Word in Corvallis was he was all set to sign with the Beavers, then his MOM convinced him to visit Bama. Interesting decision considering they have already have verbals from a couple QB's, including one rated much higher. The rich get richer. Hope he enjoys looking at the cute twirlers as he sits on the bench for the next few years.
Must be nice to be able to turn down a full ride for your kid!

Actually Doc, Alabama is pretty nice. Their freeway system puts ours to shame. Great golf with the Robert Trent Jones Trail. Comparing to Iowa? Me thinks Doc you
have either not been there, or haven't been there for some time.

Ahhh, leave Doc alone. He's just been hitting the sauce and spreading some Holiday jeer to all in Gopherland.

I don't understand your post at all. All his "I's" in this story were about him making a choice where to go to college.

momma probably wanted access to the tix available to a player

I was born in IA and lived there off and on I was AL three weeks ago...I can without hesitation that neither state is where you want to live...regardless of the few good things, the many, many, many bad things far outweigh. AL is a poor southern state riddles with prejudice and bigotry and a bottom five educational system. IA is full of corn and hogs...and they raise pigs their too!

I'd like to see a couple of championship games from the sidelines....plus being QB4 in Tuscaloosa still gets you a better pick of cheerleaders than any starting O-lineman...so it aint all bad!
