Interesting scheduling nugget this year

Apologies if this has already been brought up.

The Rodents play no less than THREE teams this year that will have had two weeks to prepare for the game;

> Miami (OH)
> NDSU
> Nebraska

So far, so good; Gophers still managed to take down Miami (OH). I think most would agree that Nebraska probably doesn't need two weeks to get ready for the Gophers.

I'm sure having two weeks to get ready for this Saturday will be a nice boost to NDSU. Let's hope it's not enough to swing the needle in their direction.

Pretty sure we have a bye week the weekend before playing NE as well, so the whole two weeks to prep thing is a wash.

You are correct.

The schedule works out perfectly. One of my best friend's daughter's Bat Mitzvah is on the bye .

Could be worse, just look at Alabama in 2010. 6 of their 8 SEC opponents were going to have a bye before facing them. The schedule changed somewhat after Bama complained to the SEC.
