Gray will have to play (a lot) better than the 9th best QB in the conference if we want a shot at winning 6 games.

We know he can run with the ball and make things happen with his feet. So could Denard Robinson last year.

It doesn't matter if he fully grasps the offense and always makes the right read ... if he can't then make a throw that the receiver can catch. This aspect is 100% on him as a quarterback, not as an athlete.

The heck with the rankings on this one. He hasn't had a chance really to prove what he can do when he plays a whole game.

Robinson is an athlete who will try to learn a pro style offense this year.
Persa is coming off the Blown Achilles.
Scheelchase loses his stud running back and was a very mediocre passer last year. Sophomore slump could be in play.
Martinez was awful the 2nd half of the season.
As good as vandenberg was against Ohio state he was bad against the gophers the next week. He'll be inconsistent.
Bolden couldn't hold off his backups last year. Mcgloin was pretty bad by big ten qb standards.
Rob Henry was not very good last year.
Gray is a good runner but a complete unknown in every other aspect.

Robinson, Persa (even at <100%), and T-Magic are all better than "Unknown."

Taylor Martinez was garbage last year. As of now he is unknown at best.
Robinson leaving the spread is definitely an unknown.
Persa Is definitely an unknown. He was not full go in spring ball.

It is very possible that any number of qbs will be better than these three. So I think number 2 is definitely unknown.

Agree 100%. So many question marks up and down the line here. Who knows? Pelini may strangle Martinez on the sidelines midway through a game.

Blown achillies tendon is a pretty serious injury. Noway Persa is #2 QB with that injury.
