The 2011 GopherHole NCAA Tournament Pick Pool

Awesome, thanks Gopher Rock.

I did this on my own earlier, it still shows my name I used. I am Gopher Athletic Supporter, but here on the GopherHole I am better known as the dirty old man, Dr.Don.

Thanks GopherRock

I'm ready to come in last!

I am in - James65096 Gopher in Texas

Thanks GopherRock for setting this up.

I'm taking a big risk putting MSU in the Final 4.

I strongly considered them over UF in the second round. And if they pull that off, it's very possible. Or they could lose by 20 to UCLA. But putting your money on Izzo usually pays. The image of Iowa up 20 on them is burned on my retinas though.

I had to change it. I want to put them in the last weekend because that's gotta be the easiest region that the tournament has seen in a while. Obviously, Pitt won't win the region because they have a Final Four jinx.

The whole bottom of that bracket is tough. Being a Gophers fan, obviously I have Belmont over Sconi, and I don't have trust in Kansas State, Florida, St. John's or BYU. Guess I'll be going with Pittsburgh. I do have Sparty in the Sweet 16 though.

The Southeast region is tough. ODU, Butler, Gonzaga and Utah State are all solid mid-majors. I honestly think any of the top 10 or even 11 teams 'could' get hot and win it. But I feel Pitt's curse will be broken this year. There's simply no great teams, especially in that bracket.

Thanks GopherRock! Go Belmont - at least for a couple games.

In, it seems like I picked KU every year in college, always thought they were a complete team, never came through for me though!

OK...I did it again...last year I finished dead last on this board...so maybe this year will be better...but I doubt it.

I have OSU losing to Syracuse's zone and have Kansas and Duke in the finals with Duke winning it all...good luck everyone!

From the 2005 tournament to the present, the entire Big XII has had a total of one appearance in the Final Four - that was KU in 2008. I'm sure that there were many more instances of fans blindly advancing KU, Texas, K-State, etc. through to the Final Four than that.

In. And I've got Wisky over Pitt. Sorry fellas.

Good luck, holers.

BTW I guarantee I will win. Check my record of predictions.

Well on second thought, please don't.

Was off to a good start until St Johns lost...had them in the final 4...Oops!

Someone in our pool picked both Richmond and Morehead State.

Kudos.

I hate the Big East...could they be bigge chokers????? ArghhHH!!!!

I wouldn't give kudos for picking Morehead - they shouldn't have won that game, what ensued was something that had about 20% chance of happening. I think Louisville lost because their leader Preston Knowles missed the last 9 minutes of the game due to an ankle injury - obviously they had to have great guard play to win that game - their other good guard Siva had foul trouble and also had to sit out late in the second half, and those two things really fueled Morehead's comeback. I'm pretty sure if Knowles isn't injured, Morehead doesn't win. Richmond was a good upset pick & if you picked it you were smart. Morehead was a highly risky upset pick - picking it and having it come through doesn't make you look smart, it makes you look lucky to me.

Kudos to anyone that can predict the future accurately.:)
