I sure fondly do recall those days back not too long ago when some of us on this board had the vision and courage to mention Jim Harbaugh and Mike Leach as examples of what competent football coaching looks like.

We were all promptly ridiculed and lectured about how our hero Brew wasn't going anywhere and we should fall into line in support the the great Tim Blowster.

That didn't end very well.

Then some of these same Golden Gopher loyalists crapped in their trousers and whined about the hire of Jerry Kill.

Often some of these same Brewster apologists bring up the name of Glen Mason in very negative terms, then seem offended that anyone might bring them back to reality by countering their blind hatred, and preposterously wonder why Mason's name keeps coming up, as if they and like thinkers hadn't started the negative thread!

All I can say after all this absurdity is that it will be great to be a fan of team in 2011.

I completly agree with whatever the he11 he said.:cool02:

I said that since we fired Brewster in mid-season we might as well spend 15 minutes offering Harbaugh as much money as we possibly can.

Harbaugh was never coming here. The NFL was his destination for some time now.

Oak street1981, I just thought you should know someone is using your profile to post stupid crap on the Internet.

Yeah that Leach what a great coach. Only two years probation for Texas Tech.

And your point is? Your individual statements (mostly) make sense, but somehow I lost your train of thought. Sort of like if you took Lincoln's Gettysburg address, and then mixed up all the sentences.

That's so awesome. You can close your eyes and imagine you were there.

Dave should actually incorporate that into his broadcast. It would be an upgrade. 'Wisconsin has it 1st and 10 at the 20...and that happened....Hey, what do you know, they're going for two!

Propping yourself up for having vision and courage on this site is beyond comical.

It took no courage to talk about Harbaugh to Leach. But Harbaugh wasn't coming here, and no school wanted anything to do with Leach. There was dissatisfaction with the Kill hire for about a single day. By the next day, people started looking into his background and liked what they saw. You remember things quite oddly if you think that opponents of Brewster were somehow persecuted here. Where ARE these Brewster apologists of whom you speak?

If Mason were so great, wouldn't someone have hired him by now? And if bringing up Leach was an indication of vision, does that mean that every AD around the country lacks vision?

I just read the OP and the only thing I could think of was the band marching down University, for some reason.

And then that happened.

This thread makes the "oops-wrong forum" thread read like a well constructed novel.
