Looks like this game is going the way of the Iowa season: Fast start and then terrible. Iowa is running at will, they shouldn't be passing much at all. If they aren't doing this all year they probably have the stamina to finish games!

Wow, Missouri gave this one away. That interception by Gabbard was absolutely brutal. Makes the Gophers and the B10 look better, but I'd trade that in for a Hogeye loss.

1-0 for the big 10 and an unexpected win to get things started. Perhaps the bad match ups might not be as big of a hurdle as previously thought.

The Mountain West is overrated.
The ACC is rated right (it is very average)
The Big East is rated right (it sucks as bad as the mid-majors)
The Pac Ten is rated right (it is strong at the very top and mediocre from 2-9....and Wazzu is terrible)
The WAC is underrated (it is the best non BCS conference)
Conf USA, Sun Belt, and MAC are kinda just there.
Army, Notre Dame, and Navy are all good on TV.

Only got to see about ten minutes of the second half, but Coker was really something. I really love Ferentz' approach to the game.

I agree that the Big 12 is a bit overrated. The athletes seem faster in the Big 12 and the schemes a bit more up-tempo (perhaps as a result of the athleticism), but Big 10 teams can bring the lumber, which can be a great equalizer. You can't teach speed, but speed can be neutralized if it's lying on the ground.

but they were very fortunate to get the call on the reversal of the Missouri pass completion. IMHO the Missouri guy caught it, bounced off the turf, maintained possession, and then bobbled it as he went out of bounds. To me, thats a catch. Oh well, you get some calls and some you don't.
