New Commit

Well, we definitely need more depth in the defensive backfield. This type of signing is not surprising nor is it overly exciting. Hopefully this kid can play and challenge Watkins or whoever else for PT.

another taller player, this upcoming class has some big players. I know rivals is not accurate, but jones is our only commit under 6'0. I just hope this dude is not another lewis, I wish I woulda kept track of how many times this season I wondered what the hell is #9 doing and why is he out there.
Welcome to Gopher Nation!

They need some size and depth in the secondary, he fills the bill in that regards. Welcome aboard.

No need to worry he is no #9 first Lewis was 6-2 184 at the start of this season Crawford is 6-1 205 with time left to get some strength coaching being a Dec grad.

this is the second straight recruit that we've gotten over utah state. their fans must be pissed that we're back to recruiting against the mid-majors. but hey, if coaching up 2 stars provides better results than getting nothing out of 3/4 stars, so be it. time will tell.

I'm sure they have their collective magic underpants in a bundle over it. But if you can't beat'em join em.

I'm all for winning.

Looks like a good strong safety prospect, played linebacker in high school and seems able to hit and play the ball in the air. Looks bigger, stronger and faster than Theret to me. Lewis may be 6'2", but I don't believe for a minute he weighs 182 pounds. I don't believe he weighed 172 pounds this season. Lewis tries to hit hard, but it seems like he gets killed on the play because he does not weigh enough to hit high and survive.

big physical saftey... kill may not get the huge star players but he does get fundamentaly sound players... his recruits are starting to look like kirks... solid grind it out sound players... im getting more and more excited about this hiring

I love the collective "OMG, he's not a 5 star" freakout that is going on when Kill joins the hunt this late in the game. Sheesh...

No kidding.

1. He's had what 2 weeks to recruit?
2. He isn't known as a big time recruiter so don't be surprised if Kill continues to get 2 and 3 star guys that fit his system well and the occasional 4 star. I expect less star studded classes than Brewster, but better than Mason. If he wins though things should get interesting.
3. It is not easy to recruit here, never has been, especially coming off a 3 win year, and the buzz of the new stadium and playing time no longer huge selling points.

We have plenty of time to recruit others such as Armonze Daniel, Sean Cotton, Wedley Estime, Steve Montgomery, Bishop Sankey, and Jamal Womble. These guys might be more of your "sexy" recruits but I like what Kill has done so far addressing needs with his latest commitments.
