That is one big number. And only a bridge deal at 3 years from the sounds of it.

the deal isn't done and all of these guys are just throwing shit out there (Pagnotta, Friedman, etc) with guesses based on the cap. They also guessed McDavid would sign at 16mil (signed at 12.5). we'll see when the deal is done. This may be his best shot at winning, so does he slice the deal that gives cap flexibility to land Larkin or another center at the deadline?

I expect its a bridge deal because it makes zero sense to sign a longer one unless he's taking KK money with what the cap is doing. 3 years for a little less so he and his brothers can play together somewhere sounds far more likely. I do think BG would give Quinn whatever dollar amount he wants as he knows he's going to have an extremely large amount of egg on his face if Hughes does not resign (barring them winning the cup this year and then hughes walking)

I was hoping for a longer term but I'll gladly take the extra three (3) years to continue to build around him. Now we need to find a C....

His brother Jacks contract ends in 3 years so I’m thinking that has something to do with it

It seems this regular 2026-27 season will start earlier, probably, on September 29th. We will find out on July 15th and 16th more accurate date and schedule. Each team is going to play 84 games, instead of 82 games, for the 1st time since 1993-94 according to the internet data.
