Though he’s gained like 6-7mil followers, he had 40m to start. Though I guess he could try market in the US more now 🤷🏻‍♂️

He’s a pretty quiet guy (which is part of what makes him super likeable is he comes across as relatable). He’s just a big goofy dude who wants to win, not post photos of himself in his underwear like Ronaldo

I was aware of it when I was pretty young and kind of fascinated that there were teams like Nottingham Forrest, Blackpool, Arsenal, etc. PBS used to have a show called Soccer Made in Germany that caught my attention. I started playing soccer in high school and the parents of one of my best friends both grew up in Liverpool so I’ve been a Liverpool supporter ever since.

This sounds like a pretty dramatic uptick in following to the average person. He's been everywhere all over social media in the last couple weeks. To the average person who's not plugged into the game outside of the World Cup, which is millions of people, he's the most visible person in the tournament up to this point.

Just an incredibly talented and likable and humble person that's been incredibly fun to watch. Have to love Norway's run up to this point!! Very cool!

Super lame. I hope it's a good game though. Belgium has been a mess but I think because of that it'll be evenly matched (but maybe boring).

Spain vs Portugal on the other hand... A World Cup final level match in the round of 16.
 

This game feels like Spain Netherlands 2010. Who will have an Iniesta moment in extra time...

Even though they had a great win in Mexico last night, I'm not totally sold on England.
 


The World Cup is exposing these absolute truths:

1. The U.S. is awesome. Everybody else is figuring that out.
2. Mexico is a cartel state.
3. Canada and Australia suck.
4. Japan is really nice.
5. Norway is fun.
6. Egyptians are jihadists.
7. Germany has Freddy.
8. Europe is in decline.

US soccer still a joke.

Brutal by the goalie but also PATHETIC by the D to not stop that.
 





That was the opposite of the excitement and energy of the Mexico vs England game yesterday.

Bring on College Football!!
