Gopher Basketball 2026 Summer Workout Thread (Videos, Tweets, Pics and More)

Ryan James offers some good public content, nice videos of practice today. Hard to tell much but I really liked the clips of Mpoyi - he moves well, is built well and appears to be athletic.
When I saw his high school tapes, that's what I thought about him as well. Seemed to not be too affected by traffic around him.

I'd like to think Grady would make the top 8, but I'm not sure he can ever stay healthy.
Grady is talented and Niko wanted him at CSU, IMO Groves is more proven at the HM level, so is Kai for that matter, but I think Nikos sweet spot is nine and I think a healthy Grady should get a spot, but will see what Nolan has and if Kai can take a step on offense and show the complete scoring game he had in high school.

I am starting to drink the Kool Aide from these practice reports. Pioneer Press out with a solid article on what is going on:

Kordell- a difference maker
Nolen Anderson -looking good in practice

With those two out, true freshman Nolen Anderson (Wayzata) has been impressive and might crack the U’s rotation in his first season. His long-range shooting is a top attribute, but he’s also a good rebounder, with a competitive toughness.

I am starting to think that this squad could really surprise and go 11-9 or even 12-8 in conference.
Even better- I think Niko will find a way to keep most of these guys for a couple years, because he will show them success in his system.

It doesn't hurt to have back-to-back Cade Tyson and Kyan Evans, who both chased the big money, were miserable, didn't evolve as players, and refound themselves in Niko's system.

A cautionary tale for all...The grass isn't always greener...
