All Things 2026-27 College Football Head Coach Fired/Hired/Retired Thread

The Gus Bus has reached its final stop. One hell of a career

Montana HC, Bobby Hauck, hired as Illinois DC after retiring from head coaching.
I liked Hauck when he was at UNLV, not enough W's though. He was UNLV's head coach when they played the Gophers in Mpls about 10 years ago.

I wonder how often it happens that an NFL team hires a coach directly off the staff of a college team in the same market?

Vikings hiring right off the Gopher staff before?
Went to Winnipeg first...

The last one, LOL!

Agree that that's close, but is not the same as the Vikings hiring a coach directly off the Gophers' staff, as the Broncos hired directly off the Buffs' staff.

Just interesting to me. Anyway, not a big deal
