2026 First Round Playoffs Thread: Minnesota vs Denver

In a trip scheduled long before the NBA Playoff schedule, I am flying to Denver tomorrow for the weekend.

I have been advised by family members in the Denver area that it would be in my best interest to leave my Jaden McDaniels jersey at home.

DEN fans would kill to have someone like Jaden on their team. Wear your McDaniels jersey tomorrow with pride!

That one is certainly worth pondering, as I am planning on watching G6 in a downtown Denver establishment with food, beverages and TVs.
 












Major loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves lineup tonight: Guard Ayo Dosunmu is out in Game 6 against the Denver Nuggets due to a calf injury, sources tell ESPN.
 



Not to go all "back in my day", but calf soreness and illness don't seem like reasons to sit out a pretty crucial playoff game.
 

Not a TWolves game until Naz turns it over a couple of times.

I didn't go with Nuggets gear. Wore a Wild pullover and Highlighter Green Wolves hat on my flight into Denver.

Listened to the 1st period of Wild on my phone getting out of the airport to the rental car pick-up. The worker at the counter jokingly said "You're wearing the wrong hat, and flew in the wrong direction!"

Listened to the 2nd period driving into Denver. Caught the end of the Wild game glancing at my phone at a Mexican restaurant with family while the big screens had Nuggets-Wolves.

My relatives were cheering for their hometown squad, frustrated that they were getting more than they could handle from the shorthanded Woofies.

3rd Q back at the hotel bar, there were about a half dozen Nugs fans watching. Seemed like a laid back enough group, during a run I put out the "Jaden McDaniels was totally right about the Denver Defense!"

They agreed. Then one did a double take when he saw my TWolves lid. He laughed.

Watched the 4th Q in my room.

Celebrate!

He shouldn't have said it. There was no point in saying it.

Denver looked pathetically old and slow.

I never saw it coming.

Jaden took Murray's soul in this series.

Denver is screwed going forward.

Monday night, game 1

Got a few days off.
 


I was there. I kept waiting for Denver to go on a 15-2 run to break it open. The wolves became a psychological brick wall.

There were obviously a million things that contributed to the win. I think the two things that emotionally broke Denver were Shannon's two dunks through the heart of Denver's defense and Clark's five minutes of in your jersey defense.

The last forty five seconds of the game, when multiple TO's were called, became a party. The most fun I've had at TC in a while.

San Antonio in four or five.

Randle's gotta go.
