Kyan Evans Commits to the Gophers!

I don't know whether he'll be a starter or reserve, but I believe he'll be a top-7 rotation player, and I'm really happy about his addition, especially with Grady's health history.

Solid pick-up as Niko knows exactly what he's getting with Evans. Now we just need to continue to build some more depth, as there's still plenty of talent out in the portal.

Who wants to take a shot at our current depth chart for this upcoming season?
Going to be very interesting to see how it shakes out. Would love to see it work out for Durkin to slide into an instant offense 6th man kind of role.

Evans, Asuma, Grady, JCJ, Kordel - starting
Durkin, Grove, Groves, Mpoyi, Tomes, Anderson, Shinholster? - reserves

Tough to know what we are going to get out of the freshman and even the new faces but hopefully we have better luck on the health front so that Niko has some options and can mix and match with the guys who best fit his system.

That is the great part about a guy like Kyan because he already has spent 2 years with Niko so should be able to hit the ground running as soon as he gets here.

This is the 12th player added to the roster. I'd say one more at most from the portal.
Wouldn't shock me to see one more guard added. Assume that if Shinholster is transferring he will jump in the portal now that Evans has committed. If he doesn't then he fits into the back court mix which is still a little thin but has some options.

If they grab another player, I think it should be in the frontcourt. There are only four of them (JCJ, Grove, Kordel, and an incoming freshman).

Evans
Asuma
Grove
Winters
JCJ

Durkin 6th man
Kordel
Grove
Shimholster

Probably need one more small guard

I see Grove, Groves, Nolan Anderson and Kordel all getting run as well. Will be interesting to see how Kordel is but I feel he will get more run against the big boys. If Shinholster can be a threat if offense at all I could see him maybe carving out 8-10 a game-seemed to be a capable defender. If Grady plays some guard I doubt Shinholster sees the floor much though

I guess at this point I was looking at Shinholster as a question mark, as I haven't seen he's committed either way. If that was the case, then that leaves room for another guard and a veteran big man. But granted, he's likely in the boat at this point.

Anybody know what money is left or is the budget pretty much spent.
