All Things 2026 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Too early, have to get that extra year of team control. The Pohlad way.
I think they've passed the date for this year to count on service time. They must not think Lewis will be out for very long is the only reason I can think of. They'd rather when he gets called up it be for a longer time (or permanent). I'd personally just give him the reins at SS at this point. Lee isn't the answer full time.

I think it's 16 days, which technically was yesterday. Culpepper should have been on the opening day roster.

Yup, just like it doesn’t make sense to me for Rodriguez to be called up to be a 4th OFer.

Neither of the above has played much at AAA either.

Maybe they don't think Lee can play 3B. If he can, they should have called Culpepper up.

That’s not how the fantasy of him leading us to the playoffs works in my imagination.

My fantasy scenario is a trade like Viola for a West-Tapani-Aguilera yield which results in a World Series in 2029.

thinking this may have factored into Kreider’s call up-

Given his injury history, Lewis and the Twins likely breathed a sigh of relief when his MRI revealed a Grade 1 strain, the least severe diagnosis.

Twins up 4-1 with the bases loaded and a chance to put up a crooked number. make that 5-1 no outs.

Edited: 8-1. what is going on here.

James Outman is 0-17 with 10 K’s, but he’s out of options so they gotta keep him. At this point would anyone really claim they guy if they optioned him to AAA.

Fascinating numbers

8-2 through 7 innings

Going for second straight series win against a playoff team from 2025

1 game out of first

Plus that challenge, WTF? Up 7 in the 6th, save them secure outs while in the field.

Plus the entire baseball was in the Zone.

Uffda.

Then Larnach fails on a challenge up 6 in the Top 9, nobody on. That's just befuddling.

At least his was close, but still...Uffda.
