Must be looking to get paid, he'd been a star next year.
So dumb. Made a mistake. Big deal. Relax. Why should I trust you? You don't even know the difference between POY and 2nd Team All Conference and you didn't even bother to look it up before claiming that. That smacks of being a bullshitter!
The five stages of grief: denial now, acceptance later. And Voihola was just the rebounding big we need ... until portal day. Then, presto! no big loss.
The portal version of “we cooled on him.”Skeptical this is a huge loss. For the brief period he was healthy, the team was, for the most part, terrible. I can’t see a lumbering big like him fitting in Niko’s offense, and I wouldn’t be surprised if Niko in some way encouraged him to do this. Had we begun next year with him starting, I’d be pessimistic a year 2 upgrade was coming. Best of luck to the kid though.
Yeah I don't see him going to a better program so it's likely this was a situation where he wasn't offered much NIL to stay and was told the Gophers were going to pursue another big man.I think if Niko really wanted him he would have been locked down at the same time as the 4 who are definitely returning. How much NIL can you offer someone who has been inured 2 of the last three seasons? My take is that our coach sees this transfer period as an opportunity to seriously upgrade the level of talent. I am excited to see who he brings in.
Must be looking to get paid, he'd been a star next year.
He was Iowa's highest paid player this past season. He had some huge moments vs Florida and Nebraska but far too often this season he performed like he did vs Illinois in which he was a complete non-factor offensively and defensively a liability.
I'll take the under...I'd guess before the end of Monday the 14th we got at least somebody. What do the experts here think will be the predicted date/time of the Gophers first portal commit?
I'll say 4/20 high noon.
Surely this was premeditated...What do the experts here think will be the predicted date/time of the Gophers first portal commit?

Yep, we haven't heard one way or the other for Willis and Shinholster.I'll take the under...I'd guess before the end of Monday the 14th we got at least somebody.
We need 7 or 8 guys. The only announced returnees I'm aware of are Asuma, Grove, Durkin, and JCJ. We have 3 incoming freshmen.
I'll be busy so keep me in the loop. What do the experts here think will be the predicted date/time of the Gophers first portal commit?

Yes it is
Good pickup for the Terps
We need 4 rotation guys, 1 of them with potential to put up big numbers like Tyson did. We need a shooting 5 and an athletic wing that can defend. I would not be surprised to see Niko sign another frosh to develop.I'll take the under...I'd guess before the end of Monday the 14th we got at least somebody.

We're definitely going to have depth. We just need more front court helpI'll take the under...I'd guess before the end of Monday the 14th we got at least somebody.

Yeah....it is a little odd at this point that we haven't gotten an indication either way from either of them. The return announcements have just become an expected part of the process at this point.Yep, we haven't heard one way or the other for Willis and Shinholster.
Serenity now...The five stages of grief: denial now, acceptance later.
Every team has 12 to 15 guys...that ain't depth. We do not have a point guard on the roster. We don't have any perimeter defenders. Our front court is our deepest category. Let's take Iowa...new coach last year like Niko. We're definitely going to have depth. We just need more front court help
I think Willis will depend on whether or not they sign Evans and Shinholter will depend on whether thecTexas Tech kid comes here they will need that nil money added to the money they have available to sign those guys! Also think they have a couple big men (6-9 or 6-10) in mind and lined up! I think we will know by late Wednesday the 15th!Yep, we haven't heard one way or the other for Willis and Shinholster.
Odd combination of visits. One for the
Not sure, but I think his parents no longer live in Plymouth, now in Arizona. That might help explain Grand Canyon.Odd combination of visits. One for the. The other for playing time.
