All Things 2026 Minnesota Twins In-Season Thread

Shockingly he didn't even get a Spring Training invite anywhere....
Because he was injured according to Chat GPT

As of the 2026 season, Manny Margot is still playing professional baseball, but he is not currently on a Major League Baseball (MLB) active roster. Instead, he was with the Detroit Tigers organization and recently reinstated from injury and assigned to their Triple‑A affiliate, the Toledo Mud Hens (the Tigers’ minor league team).

So right now (March 2026) he’s still playing in the minors with hopes of getting back to the Tigers’ MLB roster if he performs well.

Posted in the funny thread but also feels appropriate here with it being opening day. Twins are tied for 1st place, let's go!

Bizarre weather. If the Twins had opened this weekend/March at Target Field, fans would be soaking in some glorious weather while taking down some $2 beers.

Easter weekend. Looking brutal.

Opening day lineup out. Royce Lewis is batting 8th against a lefty. It's too early to call him a bust, but he really should be in his prime right now, leading this team.
His ~.130 BA this spring has left you less than confident🤔

It's a bit curious, but I'm guessing Derek doesn't want him pressing since he had a bad Spring.

I'm glad they moved Buxton out of the lead-off spot at least and didn't do something weird like batting Wallner 1st.

Odd having a national game on NBC in the middle of the day. Big spending Mets already in a 2 run hole.

Wallner starting against a lefty. What is happening! I didnt think that was allowed.

Neither will our opponents 💪

Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

(I don't blame Shelton. He's just playing the hand he's been dealt).

What was Austin thinking throwing to 3rd instead of 2nd on the sac fly. Let's runner on 1st get into scoring position. Mental error. That and grounding into 3 double plays. Just brutal.

Pohlad is the dealer and only gave him four cards in a game of five card stud.

Please Wild, go on a run and take the attention off of this mess of a baseball organization.

I've always liked Twins baseball. I always watched games from start to finish. Plus, it used to be a bridge to get to football.

If I watch a total of 50 innings this year, I will be surprised.

The Wild give the Twins a run for their money in terms of Post-Season flops this century.

Probably a draw.

He's done. The Twins are just wasting their time with him until they bring Culpepper up.

I don't get it either. How can you be so talented throughout the minors and then "burst onto the scene" in the Majors like he did, and now hardly be playable?

At this point I think it paralysis by analysis. Has so many swing thoughts and ideas that he can't hit anything. I know he changed hitting coaches in the off season so I'm willing to give him a month or so and see if he can figure it out. A shame as he fills a real needed spot. Power hitting, right handed, corner infielder.

Marty Cordova syndrome.

I'd like to apologize to all the posters that previously suggested trading Royce while his value was still relatively high and I scoffed at you.

The sooner we bring up Jenkins, Rodriguez and Culpepper, the sooner I'll start watching Twins baseball.
