Yes, I saw that Title XI updated theirs after I posted above. He didn’t really offer any explanation for why he had us at #16 to begin with. I really think some of these people actually forgot that one regular season game was played after the last reveal.Agree with you about being surprised if the Gophers do not host as a 4 seed. Of the bracketologies that I've seen, its 3-2 in favor of Minnesota over North Carolina to host. ESPN, Her Hoop Stats, and CBS Sports all have the Gophers as a 4 seed. USA Today (written by an UNC guy) and theixsports have UNC over the Gophers.

Power four championship Sunday was full of outstanding games, and the results caused some shifts in the projected field of 68.www.theixsports.com
The AP Poll is irrelevant, I believe and hope, to the tournament seeding process. Still, I was surprised to see the magnitude of the UNC support over the Gophers. 24 out of 31 voters ranked UNC over Minnesota this week.
Otherwise, how could we win a Quad 1 road game and fall from 15 to 16 AND have Michigan State also drop out of the Top 16? Just seems like this guy was hell-bent on finding any excuse he could to get North Carolina and Kentucky into hosting spots. He might even have mentioned that Kay’s injury hurt Kentucky but they are a better team now.
True about Kay helping Kentucky significantly, but the NCAA has never seeded that way. Yes, they will drop a team if a star player is known to be unavailable for the tournament, but not the converse. Remember in 2004 Whalen returned but we were just a 7-seed, even though our performance with her in the lineup warranted a 2-seed. I actually felt bad for Kansas State at the time. How would you like to be a 2-seed and be an underdog in the second round?
