I'm in the camp that the play-in games should be 100% at-large teams. Auto qualifiers should be in the field of 64.I say Auburn doesn’t even come close to deserving the opportunity but this would be fun.
Roland is paying for the premium services. Why are the SS Bracketology posts buried down on the St. Thomas board?
That's my biggest qualm about the Dayton games, either go back to 64 or have the those games 100% play-in.I'm in the camp that the play-in games should be 100% at-large teams. Auto qualifiers should be in the field of 64.
Clearly the bigger programs are more deserving than a team who earned the spot through three or four days of nail biting win or go home because your season is over games. Our betters know better than us.That's my biggest qualm about the Dayton games, either go back to 64 or have the those games 100% play-in.
80-79For some reason, Florida State down by one, decides to try for a 3 for the last shot against Duke, shot is no good, Duke recovers, game over, Duke 80-FSU-89.
Thumbs- thank you80-79
Totally agree. You lose the players in the gray floor. However, the orange ball, any bright shoes, and the Phillips 66 sign really pop off the screen.I’m sure this has been said before, but the Big XII tourney court makes the games really hard to watch. The Houston-BYU game on that all-gray floor is rough, and it should be an entertaining game to watch, which sucks.
The same number of ppg by Kai his freshman year. This is why you're patient with young players.
It’s just crazy that a major conference tournament is changing the entire playing surface halfway through the competition. I wonder where one sources a basketball court on extremely short notice? Rent-A-Center?LED glass court, we hardly knew ye
Really nice ovation for him from most of the arena last night when he left the floor for the last time. People from all fan bases appreciated him. Great example of the good side of college sports.Martinelli was a walk on his first year.. he was supposed to go to Elon if I remember right but their coach got fired so ended up at Northwestern as a walk on.. love his game
Just as crazy for them to experiment with a bizarre technology/court in such a high profile setting. Who did the beta testing here? It’s just crazy that a major conference tournament is changing the entire playing surface halfway through the competition. 100% agree. I’m not sure a lot of thinking went into this from the start. Someone saw the sparkly bauble and thought it would be cool.Just as crazy for them to experiment with a bizarre technology/court in such a high profile setting. Who did the beta testing here?

I thought those specially designed courts generally were refinished and sold after the tournaments were complete. Although they may have a generic one laying around without all the Big XII and sponsor logo markings that they can quickly doctor up.The Big 12 has played the tournament in Kansas City since 2008 (skipping 2009 for some reason), so I would assume they had an old court stored somewhere in the arena.
It'll be interesting what they roll out. I'm guessing they're needing to work through the overnight hours to get this done.I thought those specially designed courts generally were refinished and sold after the tournaments were complete. Word is this idea came from the same guy that came up with "New Coke" back in 1985.LED glass court, we hardly knew ye

A little factoid: New Coke was introduced as a means for Coca Cola to switch their plants from using cane sugar to high fructose corn syrup. They knew people would recognize the change in flavor so they created a "new Coke" with a completely different taste in order for classic Coke purists to never recognize their soda was no longer using cane sugar.Word is this idea came from the same guy that came up with "New Coke" back in 1985.
