All Things 2025-26 College Basketball Coaches Fired/Hired/Retired Thread

Wow, can’t remember the last time I saw a P5 school let a coach’s contract expire. I like it a lot, these buyouts for underperforming coaches are ridiculous.
yes, very unusual

Chad Hartman tweeted about Niko going to ASU. Don't think that is happening though...I don't even know if ASU is a very good gig or not, they don't stick out in my mind for any reason.
It should be a very good job with climate on their side, yet they’ve never been able to consistently win. Hurley had the right profile for a promotion to a place like ASU, and the 3 guys before him (Sendek, Evans, Frieder) were lured away from power conference positions, where they were winning. All looked like smart hires (well, I always thought Frieder sucked). Yet none of them generated much more than an occasional NCAA trip and a whole bunch of blerg.

Kind of odd to fire a guy now when he's been there for 10 seasons and only wins 33% of his games, but what do I know ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Didn't quite do enough down the stretch to save himself

will Coach Ben get any steam in this year's coach carousel? Or even an assistant job anywhere?
