Bracketology: St Thomas #14 Seed as of Jan 2026 -- NCAA Tournament

3 of 3 on my Summit tourney picks so far. Going out on a limb a little bit tonight. Taking both of the lower seeds, #5 Omaha and #6 Denver. Just a hunch (I'm wrong a lot, though!), but I think Denver blows out the Fighting Sioux.
Are you at the Denny Dome this weekend? The 10:30 pm tip off for Tommies seems a bit much to me, and a rough go for us old-timers.

Why do so many people here cheer against St. Thomas? Honest question? I would think it would be a good thing for them to be successful.
Go back and read this forum before St Thomas got its own forum.
I couldn't care less if the Thommies are successful or not. They just need to have their fans post on their own site. But, because the Thommies are so cheap, they don't have their own site, which means their fans come here and take up space pimping out their team. It's no different than Badgers or Hawkeyes coming here and creating pro Becky or pro Pig threads. Let them go to their own site.
But, a compromise was for the Thommie fans to get their own forum and not bother Gopher fans with their irrelevant posts.

For decades Minnesota had just 1 D1 team. This is crazy. I believe the only other states with 1 were Hawaii and Wyoming (which only has 1 4 year school). Montana and Delaware had more than MN. And I think being the only D1 team created a weird possessiveness about the state amongst our fans, and now we treat UST like intruders. Tennessee’s a similar sized state and they must have 15 D1 teams. I’m sure UT fans root against Vandy and Memphis, but I can’t imagine they give a rip about Tennessee Tech or whoever. I rooted against UST when they were in the MIAC because they were good at everything and came off as a try-hard jock school, but now, if we aren’t gonna make it to the dance, it would be kinda cool if they did. It’s no reflection on us.

I guarantee you that Michigan fans couldn't care less about EMU, nor Wisconsin about Milw or GB, nor IU or PU about IUI or IPFW, nor Neb bout UNO, nor OSU about Wright St, nor, nor, nor... Those lesser teams in those states are the exact same level as UST. The scaredy-catness about UST by this fanbase is truly pathetic. And btw, I couldn't care less about UST - I think it'd be cool for them to make the tourney, though- I mean, who the hell cares one way or the other?

St Thomas just needs there own fan site. I can see why they don't have one. They can't get anyone to attend in their new arena so it's not like they have a big following. @Roland Brooks is just obnoxiously determined to pimp out his love.

Comical. Sparty plays Michigan schools.. I think even at Oakland one year.. I don’t want you care…

Spartans have multiple D1 schools in the state and the play them.. D Mercy this year Nprthern last year… someone cares.. Gophers only one other D1 team 🐔

I got home from the Barn in time to watch the last 3 minutes of the Summit Semifinal. That brought my total viewing of Tommie hoops this season to, 3 minutes.

Poor clock management at the end. Fighting Hawks survive and advance.

@Roland Brooks "Comical. Sparty plays Michigan schools.. I think even at Oakland one year.. I don’t want you care…"

You may have misunderstood - I'm on your side. P4 schools should play their low major statemates, and by and large, they do. The P4 fanbases are also completely indifferent to any success their cousins achieve because it has absolutely nothing to do with their own success or failure. Do you think Nebraska fans were rooting against Omaha last year in the big dance because it reflected badly on them? I would say not in the least. Gopher fans? Not so much.
