As for the last nail in the coffin that is Perich's Minnesota experience, if this reporting is true we actually now have a $$$ value willing to be paid by a fully-funded, top-tier program for a player with Koi's potential. I don't believe there is any way Minnesota can operate at that level for one player.
For Bucky, the potential we saw on the field at TCF indeed was real but we only could speculate on his Oregon contract and what he left for.
Also speaking of Bucky, the perception during the season was that he had some annoyance around nicknamegate. That annoyance however probably ended up being a very small consideration with the $$$ being far more prominent with his decision to transfer. My recollection is that unlike our current QB, Bucky came from more modest means that made the immediacy of the payoff very attractive.
Anywho, goodbye Koi and good luck. Haven't checked the schedules but here's hoping has has a prominent role in his time left contributing to beatdowns of I-O-W-A, Sconnie, and Nebbie.
