With three-peat in hand, the Big Ten has shifted the conference bragging rights battle

I think this is true to some extent. My perception is that the SEC has been spoiled with former big advantages, got lazy (like a lot of orgs do in that situation), and could be playing catch-up. I have no idea if that is actually true or not.

I'm wondering if the SEC-heavy preseason polling and inflated SEC recruiting stars are impacted going forward. The days of players automatically getting a 4-5 star rating by committing to Alabama are hopefully in the rearview mirror.

Current 2026 5-Signings:

SEC = 14
B1G= 10
B12= 3
Notre Dame=3
ACC= 2

2027 Commitments
Ohio State is only school with a 5* commitment at this point. Currently nine 5* graded players.

From 2014 and onward, the conference's profile has improved significantly. Even before the recent three-peat, the conference looked much more competitive in the latter 2010s.
