Koi Perich Transfer Portal

Once you come to the accept what the ceiling is for a middling B1G program like Minnesota you enjoy the season for what it is and Koi Perich leaving doesn’t bother you at all.

I want him to come back. I would have been devastated last year. This season he wasn’t anything special and we need him to be.

Koi seems like a headache and frankly he wasn't very good this year. Best of luck to him, and more NIL for us to use elsewhere.
I got the same sense watching his body language. It was off all year, and he had a B- season at best.

He was second team all B1G conference. Objectively a very good individual year on a not great defense.

I doubt it unless he had money tied directly into playing in our bowl game because I’d be nearly positive the big time suitors didn’t wait until the Rate Bowl was done to approach him.

I also doubt his deal included any potential bowl games as most big time players leave before the bowl game to prepare for draft. Obviously Koi being an underclassman doesn’t have the draft…

2nd team based on writers. 3rd team based on coaches.

Guys that actually have played and evaluate talent were a bit more critical than the pen jockies.

It’s possible the portal move could be an honest/legal way to test the market. If so, it’s still a bad look. Just guessing as I’m no expert…maybe back channels can maximize the bids too

Kerry Brown was much better this year and has a great team attitude. Whoever said he is a first round pick is just wrong. That could change, but right now, 4-5th round, at best IMO. I hope he doesn't come back, eff him. Go chase your money, and more power to you. I hope you get a billion dollars, it won't bring you what you are looking for. If that is what you are chasing, you are empty inside and that won't fill it. Good Luck, we can get the same production from a non-headache.

I wonder if our pathetic run defense plays a role here. Our secondary and safeties had to stop the run consistently.

I know safeties have to make tackles, but we were pathetic up front against the run.

Possibly, but #3 wasn’t a good tackler.

But his having to try and make tackles constantly prevented him from ball hawking.

Sorry guys, my fault. I shouldn't have said he had a shitty attitude and considered himself above the team🤣

It sucks, but fuck him and his mercenary ass. I hope he ends up as a backup wherever he lands and the rest of his career is a repeated array of muffled punts at the five yard line and shitty arm tackles.

Ski U Mah, Go Gophers, and Fuck Off Koi Perich. 🫡🖕

Was Koi a difference maker this season?

I'm sorry I waited until the board was full of drunk angry guys.

Perich is a great talent, but he wasn't a great ball player this year. That's how he'll be approached by prospective teams. He can expect to hear "You weren't developing in Minnesota. You need to move on!"

But from the stands it seemed like what was missing this year was attitude and focus.

Not happy he is leaving but, he was much less of a player this year. If it wasn’t for our recognition of #3, and the announcers constantly talking him up, he really didn’t stand out. Sometimes change is good.

For anyone disposing of his jerseys - make sure to cut down the middle so they can't be recovered from the dumpster and reworn

As another guy mentioned above, it’s gross to get pissed pounded by 40 3 times and squeak by shitty teams like Purdue in Michigan State. Enjoyed the hell out of his freshman year and happy we had that.

Actually the Gophers didn't lose any games by more than 39 points.

I guess that's not enough to keep Koi home.
