It’s Bowl season Gopher fans!!! It’s New Mexico Championship Week Gopher fans!!! It’s an opportunity to extend the nations longest bowl winning streak and the longest in Big Ten history!!!

New Mexico will be ready. Their coach wants the UW job. Their team is happy to not be playing a bowl in their own state. They are legit squad.

Both teams should have a fair amount of fans in attendance, and we already have experience playing on a baseball field.

Listening to the Gophers Update earlier this week the description of the Lobos sounded a lot like how the 2019 Gophers Team played on offense. If true, should be a decent test at least for our defensive scheme.

We should have the athletic advantage but obviously on any given Friday that can be overcome if not mentally ready.

I wouldn't be surprised to see another slow start on offense but you never know. The opponent for this one will not be Northwestern State from Looz'ana. It would be great momentum (there's that word again) going into 2026 to just take care of business tomorrow and bring home a solid W.
