Onus on the defender. Receiver is defenseless in that setting and took a face mask to the ear hole.

Even the announcers didn’t mention targeting. You’re right the officials booth should have called for a review. But they didn’t, and A&M didn’t have a time out to ask for a challenge.

People forget sometimes that Florida having Tebow in 2008 doesn’t mean 2025 Texas A&M is better than Miami
Conferences or not matter Sunday-Friday. On Saturdays teams gotta win individually

There’s coach’s challenges for a reason. But no one seemed to make a big deal about. After watching the review from downfield, it clearly looked like targeting to me.
