Official 2026 Roster Movement Thread - Who's In and Who's Out?

Hopefully that means Turner is expected to make a full recovery and coaches were honest with him that he'd likely be 3rd string....and have to compete with the true freshman.
Turner was hurt early in the season...gotta think he will be 100% hopefully by spring ball but for sure by fall camp.

Not sure the Bucky Irving comparison from the tweet is quite warranted but Fame looked like a solid RB so sucks to see him decide to leave.

Sucks, but I hate to say running backs are a dime a dozen. They will find someone in the portal as good if not better. Kids always think the grass is greener. Now if he gets himself more NIL money somewhere more power to the kid.

I think Kane Rob was being a little over the top calling Fame a freak athlete and predicting a Bucky Irving like rise for him.

He did a solid job filling in for Taylor but he never struck me as a game breaker the way Bucky showed flashes of being.

Would have liked to see him come back but not shocked to see him transfer if he wants to go somewhere to try and be the feature back next year. Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Well, if you’re gonna lose someone running back would be the spot. The new freshman coming in should be good. Hopefully Taylor can stay healthy because we’re a different team when he is.

RB and WR are definitely two spots where if you need a young player to play right away they have the best chance of succeeding as a freshman.

They may be a different team if both are playing behind the same OL but what’s likely to be better Taylor plus an OL similar to last year or Ijeboi plus an OL that has an extra 500k to spend on upgrades…

This has Ky Thomas written all over it. He would have been starting if he stayed here instead of going to "greener grass" where he bombed and every played again. Ijiboi will regreat this.
This could be true, but Ky Thomas had a conditioning issue. He was in Fleck's doghouse for not being in shape and I believe it impacted him at other stops. It's not so much about the baby fat as much as it says about his discipline.

Fame has never had those whispers.

I thought he was our best back last year, even when everyone was healthy. He runs hard.

Outside of the health, I take Taylor over him eight days a week. But everybody has an opinion lol.

Gotta play Estrada. Derek Burns mentioned how the Gophers switched to more outside zone to find success running at the end of the season and Estrada is more suited for that scheme. Maybe Fame didn't quite fit for his price tag?
