Hanson, Swenson, Gilk, Crowl Receive B1G Honors

Congrats to our honorees. I think Jordan Taylor should have made the all freshman team. What really pisses me off is Dani Busboom-Kelly winning coach of the year. It's not that I don't think she's a great coach. She clearly is one of the best in the country. That said the team she inherited is so stacked with high end talent a trained monkey could have coached them to a championship.

Out of curiosity (and I don't mean this to diminish anyone's season), any reason why 25 players receive First Team Big Ten honors? Seems like a lot when, counting a libero, teams typically "start" 7 players.

In comparison, there are 22 starters in football (plus a handful of special teams players) - they have 29 First Team recipients

Mainly because there are now 18 teams (or is it 25?) in the B1G. But, yes, 25 seems excessive, even if Nebraska gets 7-8 of them.

I totally agree. I would have given it to Steve Aird for the job he did with Indiana.
